Management

The hotel was purchased by Louis H. Pfohl in 1962. Today it is co-owned by his descendants and supervised by his granddaughter Paula Kirby and grandsons Matthew Quigley and Tony Pfohl.

Managing the property is IDM Hospitality Management (IDM) with corporate offices residing in Madison, Wisconsin. IDM is made up of committed industry professionals who eat, sleep and breathe hotels.

IDM managed the development team and repositioned the hotel in the marketplace. They also played dual roles in the renovation, serving as consultant for technical, architectural, design and development services. To date, IDM continues to provide ongoing management services to Hotel Julien Dubuque.
